Why I Live For Brunch - Møller, Copenhagen

Brunch at Møller - Copenhagen, Denmark

As most of you know, I live for brunch. Brunch is the best meal of the day.
Brunch is the only meal of the day.

On my last day in Copenhagen, Asta had to go to class for the morning so her lovely mum and I went on a foodie mission and sought out the best brunch in the city.

Møller did not disappoint.

Nestled in the Nørrebro district of Copenhagen, Møller fluidly blends chic Scandinavian design with a cozy atmosphere to create the perfect balance.

Industrial lights hang over leather benches and funky wood tables as you enter...

(You might've guessed I'm a little obsessed with the design of this place)

The "build-your-own-brunch" concept is one that is new to me, so I was super excited to try it out.
It's pretty simple - all you do is mark down on your menu how many of each dish you want and take it up to the counter.
Within minutes, the chefs have whisked up a personalised to-die-for brunch. Cool huh?!

The thing that really stood out to me was despite all of the little dishes being so simple, the quality of the food was impeccable. Hands down the tastiest scrambled eggs and homemade tomato ketchup combo I have ever had...

Even these bad boys (which were simply called nuggets on the menu) were beautifully tender, coated in crisped golden breadcrumbs and served with a tangy green mayo.

The cafe is spacious meaning it can host a fair few people.
We went on a Monday morning and it was pretty busy so I would imagine that on the weekends you'd want to get there nice and early to secure a table.

Potentially a strange way to end this post, but I think you can always tell a lot about a place by their bathrooms.

Like the rest of the cafe, Møller's bathrooms are flawlessly decorated.
They've thought of every little detail which makes all the difference - from the deliciously-scented handwash, the fluffy white hand towels that are each stacked individually into a neat pile & the lightly flickering candles which were a reoccurring thing throughout the cafe - it's this attention to detail that sets a cafe like Møller well apart from the rest.

You would be crazy to go to Copenhagen and not visit this little gem of a neighbourhood cafe - it may not look like much from the outside but just you wait.
You can find them at Nørrebrogade 160 or have a sneaky look at their website here.

For now, I'll go back to daydreaming about those scrambled eggs...
