Exploring Poznan

Town Square, Poznań

Hey friends,

I'm back with another colourful post from my trip to Poland a few weeks ago!
A lot of the week was spent just wandering around and taking in the city of Poznań in all of it's colourful glory. The old town square is one of the cutest, most picturesque places I have ever been so I got a little snap happy - I'm sure you'll forgive me.

How cute are the buildings?!

They're all decorated differently to one another which creates this eclectic explosion of colour and madness.

The old town hall stands tall at the edge of the square, also donning a unique exterior.

I could've wandered absentmindedly around the square all day, studying each and every one of these buildings.

One of my absolute favourites was this green gem...

It had the most spectacular mural-type paintings all over the front - can you blame me for falling in love?! If my face could morph into an emoji, it was 100% the heart-eyed one while looking at these beauties.

After we said our goodbyes to the beautiful town square, we visited a restaurant called Manekin that specialises in... PANCAKES. Oh yeah.

The heat had driven us a little crazy and we were pretty hungry by this point, as so aptly demonstrated by Agata...

After studying the menu for probably way too long (there were a lot of choices okay), we did what we do best and went for two to share.

Melted mozzarella, ham and sundried tomatoes encased in a crispy thin pancake with thick bechamel sauce on the side.

Mascarpone and fresh raspberries with a generous drizzle of warm dark chocolate sauce...

Our last stop of the day was at the gorgeous cathedral, dating all the way back to the 10th century.

Although not overly religious myself, I love to go into all of the churches and cathedrals that are so accessible here in Europe.

I find it all so fascinating and if nothing else, they're without fail always pretty breathtaking buildings, inside and out!

I hope you've enjoyed this Sunday morning update and didn't get too sick of looking at colourful buildings! You were warned after all...

The next post scheduled to go up will be all about our spontaneous day trip to Kraków!
It involves lots of coffee adventures (no surprises there), more beautiful architecture and the freshest sushi known to man.

Until then, enjoy your Sunday!
