Big Blogger Conference 2015

Venue - Hotel Russell, London

Hey everyone!

Last weekend I had the pleasure of attending the Big Blogger Conference in London.
The event was organised by @LDNmeetup and held at the idyllic Hotel Russell, just a stone's throw from the Russell Square tube station.

Of course I didn't take the easy option and get off at Russell Square for one reason and one reason only... Coffee! (duh)

Instead I hopped off a station earlier at Holborn and grabbed a delicious latte from Knockbox Coffee on Lamb's Conduit Street to start my day right!

I arrived at the hotel in perfect time to snap a few photos of the gorgeous exterior and a classic Instagram-worthy shot in Russell Square Gardens (while being laughed at by a huge group of tourists - yes this is what girls do at 9am on a Saturday in London, not even sorry), before heading into the conference.

I was a little nervous about attending this meet as I'd never been to a blogger meet up in London before and didn't know anyone else going.

I soon realised I had no reason to be nervous as I met some lovely ladies the moment I walked in the door. Shoutout to Alice from stylebyali.co.uk & Jess from jessicakg.com for hanging out with me for the entire conference (super sweet girls, definitely go and check out their blogs!), as well as Hayley from itsjustmehayleyd.blogspot.co.uk who I got to know throughout the day!

Seminar at the Big Blogger Conference

We started off with 3 seminars/talks which were all equally interesting, engaging and inspiring.

Sarah from The Prosecco Diaries started it off with a talk all about how to best work with brands and make the most of the cool perks that come our way as bloggers.
Elizabeth from Rosalilium spoke all about Pinterest and how to use it to enhance and drive traffic to our blogs. I never really took much notice of Pinterest but now I definitely feel inspired to start using it!
Lastly, Jasmin from Jasmin Charlotte (fellow kiwi represent!) briefly taught us about SEO and tech-y stuff which was really useful too.

Check out the cute goodies we found waiting for us on the desks!

A massive thanks to these 3 ladies for giving up their time to come and talk to us! I learnt so much in such a short space of time - I don't think my hand stopped writing notes the entire 2 hours.

We had a quick break for lunch so we dashed by Pret and enjoyed a lovely 20 minutes in Russell Square Gardens - we couldn't have asked for better weather!

After lunch it was time for a quick makeup touch-up/mirror selfie session...

... And straight back into blogg-y stuff we went!

The rest of the afternoon was spent chatting with a ton of awesome brands that were lovely enough to come along and set up a stall each, showcasing their products.

The brands were so generous with the goodie bags - I left with about 7 bags balanced on my arms!
Crazy stuff. Thank you, thank you and thank you again.

Before we left the hotel, I just had to take a few pictures of the gorgeous lobby.
You'll see why...

So stunning right?! They could not have picked a better venue.

A massive thanks again to Lauren, Abi & Jenny from @LDNmeetup for organising the whole thing  flawlessly and to all the girls that helped it run so smoothly. Be sure to sign up to their database if you're a UK-based blogger for meet-ups in the future.

My mum (who lives in NZ) just arrived to visit me in London for a week so I'm dashing out the door to see her - eeeeeeek so excited!!
Enjoy the rest of your week,

  2. The places I saw here are really wonderful, celebrating a special event like this with the beauty of nature is really cool. When you are in these event venues Chicago, there's nothing you can do than to be happy. I really liked it here.
